One thing that’s been on my mind a lot is dating and chatting on apps—specifically, Grindr and Scruff.
I’ve been chatting with guys and folks online since before I came out, and I love it. I know chatting online for more than a week isn’t everyone’s favorite thing, but when people give a lil more than “hey” or “what’s up”—oof! That gets my thinking about all the possibilities. Just like a good, funny question or a compliment about my bio/interests or outfit automatically sets them apart. Even if it’s just for a one-night hookup, that tiny, tiny bit of trust makes me think this person is more likely to communicate around sex, and that’s great for consent(!), but also, I feel like we can adventure into more adventurous territory.
These are the folks that get me thinking: maybe they’d be down to tie me up, maybe they’d want to spit in my mouth, maybe they’d be willing to turn a 20-min fuck into an hour of edging each other And then let me pick up the cum, maybe we can role-play some taboo shit and turn a dirty feeling into something so fucking hot.
