Imagine hot breath on their neck, just moments away from touching. Lips so close they can almost feel how it would be pressed against the sensitive skin of their throat. Maybe a tongue would peak out and taste the skin there, maybe a flash of teeth scraping against their hot pulse. Would it tingle? Send a shiver down their spine? It would probably make their hands grip tighter around the shoulders in front of them. Send wings fluttering, and heart beating. But all they get to feel is hot warm breath, and the anticipation is palpable.
