Here is the start of a short story I wrote for a commission!
(yes this sounds like a wattpad fanfic I am NOT a writer, but I had fun creating it and thought you guys might like to see)
I open my eyes to the ringing of my alarm and the blinding rays of sun shining over the top of the curtains. Ugh, another day of work. I drag myself out of bed and into the warm shower, yawning as I dread the day ahead. I continue my usual morning routine, having breakfast, doing my makeup and brushing my teeth.
I’m about to leave when the doorbell rings. It’s the mailman with a package for me. I think to myself, “hmm, I didn’t order anything, I wonder what it is?”
I take the parcel inside and open it up.
Inside is a note that reads, “Dear Violet, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I would rather you have this gift than my girlfriend. Love, your secret admirer”. Along with the note is a small bottle of what I assume is perfume. “Okay, this is super weird...” Despite how strange it is I figure I may as well try the perfume. I smell the bottle first, it has a beautiful scent, citrus and flowers maybe? I spray a bit on my wrists and neck before I grab my bag to leave.
I lock the front door and begin walking to my car as a strange sensation overwhelms me. My body starts to tingle all over and I suddenly feel very powerful. I look down at my hands as they seem to look larger than usual?
“What is happening to me?” I mutter to myself. I begin to grow, taller and taller until suddenly my foot is bigger than my house. I can see the entire city from up here. At first I’m terrified, but quickly I realize, I can do anything now. I am a giant goddess with the world at my fingertips, literally.
I look around below me and see people all over screaming and running into their houses, others getting into their cars to drive away. “Hey I’m not going to hurt you” I say calmly, however at my size my voice booms across the city. Overwhelmed with my new power I say, "All I ask is for you to bow down and submit to me as your new goddess.” Most people continue to run in terror, but I do see a few get down on their knees for me. I slowly bend down and reach my hand out gently to the obeying citizens. “Climb on my hand good little ones and I will keep you safe I promise.” Putting all their faith in me, the tiny ones begin to climb onto my hand. “So, no one else wants to submit to me and be spared? Okay, your loss.” I raise my hand slightly and place my new following onto the roof of my house so I can see where it is and keep them safe. “Okay just stay here.”
With that out of the way I decide to begin my rampage. I attempt to tip toe around the neighbouring houses, still causing significant damage while heading towards the city centre. I begin crushing the office buildings, slowly at first and then with increasing force. They crumble to pieces under my shoes, nothing but a pile of rubble remaining.
I decide to take my shoes off so I can feel the damage I’m causing better. I pull them off one at a time, carelessly tossing them aside, taking out multiple houses in the process. I hear screams as entire buildings are consumed under my giant, sweaty socks which I also threw away.
I continue stomping buildings and destroying the city when suddenly I remember the note. “Who sent me the parcel? I demand to know!” I shouted, no doubt shattering the ear drums of anyone close by. Becoming increasingly infuriated with the lack of answers I step over to the news station, destroying everything in my way. “Start a live broadcast right now and point the cameras up at me!” Reluctant but scared the news crew comply. As if they had anything more important to report right now? “Hello world, my name is Goddess Violet. I demand to know who sent me this letter.” I say pulling out the letter and showing the cameras. “Until I have my answers, I will continue destroying the world until there is nothing left.” I then pull out the potion and spray myself one more time, growing larger again. “Your only hope until then is to submit to me as your new god and hope I take pity on you.” With that, I storm off crushing half of the city under my soles.
